Tending Futures is a Black and Indigenous led healing justice organization operating in a political moment where cultural workers, birth workers, abolitionist organizers and communities of color are being targeted by coordinated misinformation campaigns, harassment and digital surveillance.
Because our staff, practitioners and board members are directly impacted people, we prioritize safety, privacy and digital protection as core parts of our mission.
To safeguard our people from doxxing, political retaliation and online harassment, we have removed individual staff and board profiles from our website and public materials.
This practice is widely adopted by healing justice, abolitionist, reproductive justice and cultural organizations nationwide.
Our commitments:
• Protecting Black and Indigenous healing workers from targeted harm
• Honoring safety as a form of community care
• Practicing digital security in alignment with abolitionist values
• Ensuring our work continues without placing individuals at risk
• Upholding integrity, accountability, and transparency with our funders and community privately
If you are a funder, partner or collaborator who needs staff or board information, we will share it privately, upon request, in alignment with safety protocols.
